Tattoo Aftercare

REMOVE WITHIN 24-48 HOURS AND FOLLOW AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

1. Gently Clean with warm water and anti-bacterial soap such as

Dove or Dial bar soap. Always Wash hands prior to cleaning your tattoo.

2. Apply A thin layer of Aquaphor (or your favorite ointment meant for tattoos) after every cleaning as well as 3 times a day

MORNING NOON AND NIGHT.

Continue this routine for up to 3 weeks before you are able to switch over to an unscented lotion.

DO NOT apply ointment heavily. Make sure the ointment is thin and evenly spread out,

just enough ointment to keep it from being dry.

4. You should Avoid direct sunlight exposure/Tanning booths as well as tight fitted clothing directly on the area for at least 10 days

5.  Avoid all bodies of water such as lakes, pools, saunas, spas and bathtubs. 

Showers are your safest choice to avoid infections.

6. DO NOT pick/rub/ or itch your tattoo during the healing process.

Additional damage can occur and result in loss of color and scarring as well as infection.

Healing Varies from person to person but expect at least 2-3 weeks of healing.

Consult a physician if there are any signs or symptoms of infection.

Sign to look out for includes: 

• severe redness
• tenderness of the procedure site
• red streaks leaving the procedure area towards the heart
• elevated body temperature
• purulent drainage from the procedure site
